Mr Eddie Yue, Chairman of the AoF and Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the AoF’s achievements throughout its five-year journey. The FLP graduates then received their certificates from the Directors of the AoF in recognition of their completion of the nine-month programme.
It was then followed by a panel discussion on “Preparing Hong Kong Financial Leaders for the Global Stage”, featuring our Fellows Dr Norman Chan, Senior Adviser of the AoF, Dr Moses Cheng, Non-official Member of the Executive Council and Dr Anthony Neoh, Co- Chairman, Asian Academy of International Law. The panel was moderated by Mr Arthur Yuen, Deputy Chairman of the AoF and Deputy Chief Executive of the HKMA.
The AoF/HKIMR jointly organised a hybrid seminar with HKIB on “DeFi, Metaverse, Digital Assets and Web3: Opportunities and Challenges for the Financial Services Industry”. It was well-attended with about 20 participants in person and 400 online.
The HKIMR delivered a presentation on frontier technologies and their implications for the financial services industry.
As the supporting organisations of the AIMA APAC Annual Forum 2024, the AoF/HKIMR hosted a panel session on “Frontier Tech: Shaping the Future of Finance” at the Forum.
